Arthur Emeric
Arthur Emeric is a half-elf and current Champion of Weehollow. In battle, he is known to wield a golden morningstar and insist on single combat.
He takes great effort to maintain a polished public persona, but is prone to bouts of sudden violence and uses methods such as blackmail and magical coercion to keep his position as Champion by eliminating any potential Challengers.
Murder of Eddie Pinesmog
In 100 AL, Arthur murdered the journalist Eddie Pinesmog in cold blood for implying foul play in his continued status as Champion and for inquiring into the "Custodian":
E: "As I'm sure you're aware, there have been reports circulating for a while
about intimidation tactics, potential Challenger's houses getting robbed,
getting into car accidents, that sort of thing."
A: "I'm not sure what you're implying here, son. I always welcome challengers,
I even hold camps for young hopefuls from low-income households from ti-"
E: "And what about your meeting with someone called the Custodian?"
A: "How did you know that name?"
Immediately after this, Arthur cast the Geas spell on three eyewitnesses: SCSI Sataella, Annalie Wildflower, and Cyrus Wresch, in order to prevent reports of this crime from leaking out:
"You will not communicate anything you have seen or heard to anyone outside of yourselves, or knowingly do something that informs someone of the events that just transpired in any way."
